Sometimes I get vertical lines, but not always. Recently, the third display stopped working completely. Sometimes, I had to unplug the USB adapter and plug it back in to get things working properly. The keyboard works fine, but the Caps Lock key is busted. The solution given is to install a version of the Microsoft Intellipoint software prior to version 8, however, when I go to the Microsoft download and drivers website the only version offered for Windows 7 is the Intellipoint 8.2 version. This is a huge issue because I use a Microsoft 3000 v2 keyboard on my mac, and I have 2 of them for work and home.

It should be noted that this configuration was never 100% reliable. Since macOS Catalina can only run 64 bit applications, the Microsoft Intellitype driver installer will no longer run. Initially, I was able to create a third display on my Acer S232HL using a Kensington M01063 Universal Multi-Display Adapter and HDMI. With IntelliPoint 8.2, setup automatically detects your mouse model.
